First Baptist Christian School Teacher Bios
	TERESA PARISH Mrs. Parish is our Kindergarten Teacher, this is her first year, however, she has returned to FBCS after having previously taught first grade.Mrs. Parish received her degree from California State University, Stanislaus. She is working on her CA teaching credential. She spends her extra time decorating beautiful cakes and enjoying time with her husband and son. Mrs. Parish’s life verse is Joshua 1:5.
	ERICA FENDERSON Mrs. Fenderson joined the FBCS staff in October of this year and is our First Grade Teacher. She earned her degree from California State University, San Jose and has returned to Stockton from Texas where she had been teaching. Mrs. Fenderson has four children and enjoys running, bike riding and music. We are delighted to have her on our staff and her life verse is Genesis 15:1
	LOIS WALLING Mrs. Walling teaches second grade and has been at FBCS for eight years since the school first began. She earned her degrees at Delta College and Vennard College in Iowa. Mrs. Walling is married and has one son. She takes care of all the refreshments and potluck dinners at her church and bakes goodies every week for the Sunday Service. Her hobbies are scrapbooking, reading and shopping online. Mrs. Walling’s life verse is Psalm 27: 1-3.
	MEGAN GALLEGOS This is Mrs. Gallegos’ first year at FBCS and she teaches third grade. She also teaches third through fifth grade Art. She graduated from California State University, Stanislaus with a BA degree and CA Teaching Credential. Mrs. Gallegos is married and has four children. She has two children at FBCS. Mrs. Gallegos volunteers in the church nursery, and enjoys scrapbooking and doing things with her family. Her life verse is Jeremiah 29:11.
	FRANK GOOSSENS Mr. Goossens teaches fourth grade and has been at FBCS for eight years since the school began. Mr. Goossens attended Pacific Lutheran University in Washington. He teaches Computers for grades three thought five. Mr. Goossens is married to Mrs. Goossens who is also teaches at FBCS. They have a son who graduated from our school and a daughter who is a student here now. Mr. Goossens has served as the Athletic Director and is currently directing the Accelerated Math Program at our school. He enjoys soccer, gardening, computers and studying scripture. His life verse is Colossians 3:1-4.
	JEFF STAHL Mr. Stahl teaches fifth grade and this is his second year at FBCS. He also teaches Physical Education for grades three through five. Mr. Stahl received his degree from California State University, Fresno and holds a Masters of Divinity and a Doctorate of Ministry from Golden State Theological Seminary. He is currently finishing his CA teaching credential. Mr. Stahl has a daughter who graduated from FBCS and two children who are now attending here. He enjoys preaching at other churches when needed, snow and water skiing and camping. His life verse is Proverbs 25:11.
	DEBBIE GOOSSENS Mrs. Goossens teaches sixth grade homeroom, seventh and eighth grade Language Arts, middle school Art and Computers. This is her eighth year at FBCS as she started when the school began. Mrs. Goossens graduated from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. She holds a BA and a CA Teaching Credential. She is married to Mr. Goossens who also teaches at FBCS and they have a son who graduated from FBCS and a daughter is attends now. Mrs. Goossens enjoys coaching and playing sports, reading, scrapbooking, camping and gardening. Her life verse is Romans 12:12.
	RICK BREWER Mr. Brewer teaches seventh grade homeroom, seventh and eighth grade Science and Social Studies, Worship Arts and Newspaper/Yearbook. He directs the Worship Team for our Chapel Services here at school. This is his first full year at FBCS after taking over the third grade in November 2010. Mr. Brewer holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University, and a BA from California State University, San Francisco. Mr. Brewer is married and his wife, Kathy, teaches third through fifth grade music at FBCS. They have two children. Mr. Brewer enjoys leading the worship team and serving on the leadership team at his church. His life verse is Philippians 4:13.
	JOSHUA BATES Mr. Bates teaches eighth homeroom and sixth, seventh and eighth grade Math. This is his second full year at FBCS. He graduated from University of Pacific with a BS degree. Mr. Bates’ wife is middle school teacher also. He serves as our Athletic Director and oversees our sports program. He is on the Prayer Team and is a Youth Group volunteer at his church. He enjoys baseball and plays Ultimate Frisbee on a competitive team. Mr. Bates’ life verse is Joshua 1:8-9.
	Beth Washburn Mrs. Washburn is the Spanish teacher for 6^th, 7^th and 8^th grade at FBCS. This is her second year. She is a graduate of Westmont College and is married to Pastor Mark Washburn. They have six children and two grandchildren. Mrs. Washburn enjoys working in Children’s Ministry and especially Vacation Bible School. She also likes reading, photography, painting and drawing. Her life verse is Psalm 91:1,2.
